SummaryIn 2017 more than $1 Billion dollars was spent in the U.S. to reline water and wastewater pipelines, and the market is continuing to grow rapidly. Once considered the new kid on the block, pipe relining is the go-to option for pipe infrastructure renewal. Advances in Spray-In-Place pipelining techniques have positioned SIPP at the forefront of the renewal revolution and created a new generation of NSF approved pipe lining technologies.

SUEZ Spray-in-Place Pipelining (SIPP) is a trenchless, efficient and long-lasting solution for the restoration of aging water and wastewater pipeline. This process is effective for renewing pipelines from 2 inches to 72 inches in diameter, both vertical and horizontal, and utilizes advanced robotics to internally apply an NSF 61-approved, 100%-solids epoxy coating in nearly any Mil of material thickness. The material applied bonds directly to the pipe, cures in hours, requires no re-instatement of services or laterals, and reinforces existing structures. Once cured, the lining creates a structural seal which restores the pipeline to its original design parameters while reducing leaks, main breaks and improving overall water quality.

This presentation will focus on sharing recent advances in SIPP technology and feature a recent project that included cleaning and relining of 1,500 feet of metallic pipeline.
