Apply Your Coating, Anytime, Anywhere?
In the Blasting and Coating industry we have seen some great advances in blast media, industrial equipment, and hightech coatings. Unfortunately with this technology can come additional cost, whether it’s recoating an existing tank or applying a coating to a new tank. One way of avoiding additional cost is controlling your environment, i.e. the humidity and temperature This is not only beneficial, but sometimes it’s necessary just to stay on time and under budget. Without the proper climate for a coating you can experience lengthy time delays, improper conditions during application, daily inspections (just to monitor the project), and long term effects that could cost more than twice as much with a failure. What we’re going to show you is the benefits of controlling your climate, how to control your climate, the equipment available in the industry, and proven cost analysis showing the value of this process. NACE 6A192 and many other technical papers recommend and give you a reference of what it can do for you. Now let’s learn what it takes to make sure your tank coating project is done right the first time.

Extend the Service Life of Water Storage Tanks …Using the Revised AWWA D102 Standard
Water systems often need to recoat reservoirs or elevated storage tanks. By referring to two coating systems included in the revised AWWA D102 Standard "Coating Steel Water-Storage Tanks”, painting contractors and specifiers discover they can offer tank Owners the benefits of extended service life and lowered maintenance costs for their water storage tanks. This presentation will discuss the revised AWWA D102 Standard and two new interior and exterior coating systems. Picture images of tank-painting projects will be included in this PowerPoint presentation. The Author is a member of the AWWA D102 Revision Task Force.
