Practical Proactive Management of our Ground Water Resources

SUMMARY:
This seminar will span strategic ground water topics from well design/construction to well rehabilitation/pump repair. The collaborative discussion will include permanent pump design; the advantageous and disadvantages of pumping equipment options; preventative maintenance (PM) techniques for analyzing well and pump performance; utilization of the PM data to plan for tailored rehabilitation and budgeting; and recommendations for the Water System Stakeholders’ knowledgeable, vested participation in the repair/rehabilitation process.

REGISTRATION & HOURS: Registration begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 12:00pm. Earn up to 4 PDH’s or RTC hours. Continental Breakfast included

William Balluff, Layne Christensen Company

William has been in the Water Supply Industry for over thirty years. He was employed for 18 years, by Layne Christensen Company, as Project Engineer in Aurora, IL and District Manager in Lansing, MI. He returned to the Layne Aurora office in April of 2006, as Account Manager, after working the previous six years as Dixon Engineering Inc.’s Western Division Director of Operations in Yorkville, IL. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Engineering. His association memberships include AWWA, NRWA, and NSPE and is a licensed Professional Engineer.





Chris Peschang, Layne Christensen Company
Chris Peschang has been with Layne Christensen’s Aurora, IL office since 2004. He has a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chris is a registered professional engineer in the state of Illinois and has been the project engineer on hundreds of projects covering all aspects of water supply construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
