Collecting, Documenting, and Evaluating Well and Well Pump Test Data

IEPA#7219

SUMMARY:
An active municipal well will be utilized to field demonstrate proper equipment and correct techniques for collecting and logging data that is relevant to the healthy operation and maintenance of large capacity water wells and their associated pumping equipment.  The class will move indoors to evaluate the field data and its relationship between the well’s history, current operational status, and projected maintenance requirements.  Emphasis will be placed upon the ease, yet critical function, of incorporating a Preliminary Maintenance Testing Program and the significant role such a program can provide for avoiding emergency situations while laying the foundation for strategic well and pump maintenance budgets.
