Practical Asset Management: Best
Practices for Small & Large Systems
CEU TYPE: Technical TRAINING CLASSIFICATION: IEPA#: 8006
SUMMARY: This seminar will share asset management best practices that are applicable to small and large water systems. If one were to ask 100 water people, "what is asset management?” you would likely get 100 unique and different responses. We will define in straightforward terms what is asset management for water distribution systems, and share specific strategies to simplify processes, realize operational efficiencies and save you money. This will include an examination of the ten steps of Asset Management, case studies of agencies that have been successful in their implementation of Asset Management, and tangible and practical strategies to jump start and develop your Asset Management program. Additionally, we will review and discuss the efficacy and implementation of business systems for asset management, including C.U.P.S.S. (Check Up Program for Small Systems), GIS and CMMS platforms.
