SUMMARY: SCADA is being deployed in water distribution and wastewater collection systems faster than any other technology product in the industry. With this influx of technology there has also been an influx of options available for SCADA systems. How does one determine what is the most cost effective system that will meet their needs today and in the future? The goal of this presentation is to prepare the attendee with the tools necessary to determine the answer to that question for their system.

Ed Dunn, Precision System
Ed graduated in 1990 from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was immediately employed by Yeomans Chicago Corporation, a manufacturer of wastewater centrifugal pumps for the municipal market, as an Application Engineer. After 4 years in this position, Ed was promoted to the position of Southeast Regional Sales Manager. He held that position until 2001 when he accepted the position of Division Manager for Precision Systems. This career has provided Ed with over 20 years of direct interaction with operators and engineers in the water and wastewater industry. During that time Ed has been or currently is a member of the following organizations: American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Water Works Association, Submersible Wastewater Pump Association, and the Water Environment Federation.
