From Pencils To Pentiums: Implementing Your First CMMS
This presentation focuses on the unique challenges of implementing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in utility maintenance organizations that have not previously used computers and CMMS. Implementing a CMMS provides a tool for managing data about maintenance. In addition to being a prerequisite for effective asset management, it can help you manage your maintenance workflow, track your preventive maintenance, manage staff time, and provide an interactive catalogue of your assets and parts. However, it does not intrinsically "fix" your maintenance program. You still need good people and processes.
