Low Maintenance Turbidity Meters - The Next Generation
The set-up of a single beam turbidity meter is quite simple, but there some disadvantages, especially in terms of maintenance. In developing new designs of turbidity meters, the focus is clearly on achieving a low maintenance apparatus with a non-contact set-up: the optical windows are not in direct contact with the sample which means there is no fouling and hence no cleaning is required. This paper covers many aspects of modern instrumentation facilitating the life of today's operators of staff-strapped water plants.
