ALLERTON HOUSE Appropriate up to $500 as a "stop loss" should Allerton House have financial problems with management seminars. (3/30/90) The names of scholarship awardees are to be recorded in the Section Museum. (11/12/92)
The Director shall serve as host for the visiting AWWA representative and dinner expenses shall be paid for by the Section. WATER UTILITY COUNCIL Approved the formation of a Past Chairman's Club. (4/1/87) The proposal for a Past chairman's Club was read and approved. (5/22/87) The Section will furnish, on request, one copy of the attendance list for any Section seminar or meeting to anyone attending that seminar or meeting. (03/30/93) The Section should pursue an exchange of booths with the Illinois Rural Water Association at each of our conferences. (03/30/93) The Section expressed the opinion that the banquet at the annual AWWA national conference should be discontinued. ALLERTON HOUSE (HISTORICAL) ISAWWA will pay Prof Heckman's expenses and the U of I will pay for the ISAWWA Scholarship Award. ANNUAL MEETING (HISTORICAL) A joint meeting will be held with the Missouri Section in St. Louis in 1987. (3/20/84) The 1985 Conference will be at Pheasant Run in St. Charles on 3/20-3/22. (3/20/84) The 1986 Conference is to be held at the Hyatt Woodfield Hotel 3/18-3/21. (3/22/85) The 1988 Conference will be held in the Chicago suburban area. (11/15/85) A Site Selection Committee should be created and consist of the Secretary-Treasurer, and two members at large appointed by the Chair. (11/15/85) Continue the joint fall outing with the Missouri Section including a golf tournament and/or trap shoot. (4/3/87) The 1989 Annual ISAWWA Conference will be held at the Pere Marquette Hotel in Peoria, April 4-6. (5/22/87) Approved an exhibitor tag fee of $40 each which will entitle the exhibitor to 4 representatives. Additional tags can be purchased for $10/person. (7/9/87) The 1990 Conference will be held in the Chicago area. The 1991 Conference will be held in St. Louis providing that Missouri agrees. EXECUTIVE MANAGER (HISTORICAL) The Section will hire Bob Sasman as the Executive Manager. (7/10/86) Approved the revised proposed contract for the Executive Manager subject to the approval of the proposed bylaws amendment creating the position. (11/5/86) Bob Sasman will be rehired as the Executive Manager for the remainder of 1988 at the same fee as previously determined. (7/21/88) Approve the Executive Manager's contract for 1991 with a fee of $2600. (11/8/90) Approved the purchase of a computer system for the Executive Manager for a cost not to exceed $3500. (07/22/93) The Executive manager will be an employee of the Section and all necessary paperwork will be filed by the EM with the help of her accountant. Section will pay the cost of the accountant at a cost not to exceed $100 per year. (07/22/93) Approved the purchase of a scanner for the computer at a cost of
$600. (07/21/94) The Executive Manager is to provide registration fee recommendations for the Annual Meeting to the Annual Meeting Committee Chair (Chair Elect) and the Section Chair. allotment to cover the expenses of the proposed "Resource
Manual" of supplies, larger utilities and others who could provide
assistance to small systems. (07/16/92) All official comments prepared by the Regulatory Subcommittee on behalf of the Section are to be routed through the Water Utility Council for approval before they are released. (11/12/92) The Kellogg Foundation will provide a grant to partially fund a pilot

WATER UTILITY COUNCIL (HISTORICAL) Changes to the bylaws, proposed budget for WUC, $250 for expenditures through June, and committee makeup were approved. (3/21/86) ISAWWA statement on TTHM's on public water supplies written in 1984 to be rewritten and sent to IPCB. (5/16/86) $600 approved for the remainder of 1986 for expenditures. (7/10/86) In order to secure needed funding, the WUC will develop a rate schedule for utility contributions. (4/1/87) ISAWWA Chair will interview and select members for the WUC. (4/3/87) Approve $500 for the WUC to use during the current budget period which will be extended to 12/31/87. (4/3/87) A letter will be sent to all water utilities asking for a contribution ($5.00 minimum). The request for contributions will be made as funds are needed, not necessarily every year. (5/22/87) Approve additional funds up to a limit of the 1988 WUC budget. (7/21/88). ISAWWA will support action of the WUC in trying to have a bill introduced to protect consumers from fraudulent advertising and claims about point of use water treatment devices. (4/2/91) Authorized Ira Markwood to meet with the Municipal League to work on a plan as to how to deal with the IEPA's laboratory testing program's added costs to municipalities. (4/10/92) ISAWWA is to send a letter to legislators that supports a full rate
structure for all water quality testing conducted by IEPA. (07/16/92) Board approved providing one year's funding for a part time lobbyist.
Funding is to come from a combination of existing funds and a special
allotment request. Cost of the lobbyist is anticipated to range between
