WATERCON2017- MUSEUM

The WATERCON2016 Museum was great and those monitoring it heard how many of the items exhibited were and are used as well as many operational stories. These stories included: a town having to get the next town's operator to restart their system after their operator got drunk and the town ran out of water; and a water tanks frozen riser pipe was attempted to be thawed with a fire which got out of control and weakened one of the tank's support legs.

WATERCON MuseumWant to see what was at WATERCON2015?

Do you have any wooden water main, old meters, tools, hydrants, maps or photographs laying around? If you do, bring it with you to WATERCON2016!!!  The waterworks museum is returning for another wonderful year and is in need of items to display.  As with any museum, the waterworks museum depends greatly on the participation of the community. All historical water and wastewater items are welcome. The items are only on display during the conference because the Section does not maintain a permanent collection. Please bring your items to help illustrate how the water industry has advance throughout history.

If you are interested in displaying an item or volunteering to help monitor the museum, please contact  sandi@isawwa.org or Museum Chair, Bob Bohannon
