Ladies Tapping Team Gets A New Member
The Land of Lincoln Ladies Tapping Team, the first ever, and so far only,
Illinois ladies tapping team, is sad to say goodbye to member Lisa
Martini. Lisa, who works for Lee Jensen Sales Co., Inc.,
will be sorely missed in her role as Copperwoman and former role as Coach. Lisa’s understanding of equipment, and her
willingness to try new techniques, was paramount in the team continually
decreasing their tapping times.
On a happy note,
Veronica (Vee) Trevino of the Village of Arlington Heights will be the new
Copperwoman! Vee’s copper skills are
fantastic, and the team is excited to work with her. Dave Nordin, Copperman extraordinaire for the
Village of Arlington Height’s men’s team, will be sure to help get Vee
competition ready with his mad skills on copper! Other team members are Starwoman Michelle
Harrod of Midwest Water Group, Cranker Andrea Putz of the City of Chicago, and
Coach Jim Ozimek of RMS Utility Services.
The team has begun preparing for competition at WATERCON in March and is
looking for other ladies teams to compete with so if you have any interest in
forming a team, let them know and they will show you the ropes!
