Introducing the Inaugural IWEA Wastewater Operators
The IWEA will have its First Ever Operators Challenge. Preregistration is required. Register as a team or an individual. The event will be on Tuesday, March 18, at 1pm in the center isle of the Exhibit Hall. The goal of the Operators Challenge is to provide a fun but educational experience. There are four challenges to choose to participate in; Laboratory, Maintenance, Safety, and Operations. Laboratory challenge is a low level chlorine analysis. Maintenance is work on a rotary lobe pump. Safety is a confined space entry simulation. Operations is a quiz developed by ERTC. Certificates of Participation and Events trophies will be awarded. All tools, materials, and equipment are supplied. You just have to preregister and show up!
Each challenger must preregister for WATERCON2014 through the webpage. NO walk-in or on-site registrations for the Operators Challenge will be accepted. Each challenger may participate in all challenges or just one or two. Teams can be made of 2-4 people. Each member of the team must enter at least one challenge. Decision of the judges is final.
