Water Loss Seminar: Best Practice Water Audits and Loss Control Programs IEPA #12448

How much water is your utility losing to leakage, customer meter error or water theft? How can your utility quantify these water losses or identify the cost burdens the losses impart upon the system? Water utilities recognize not only the need to regularly account for their supplies but also the importance of trained personnel in the auditing and validation processes. This seminar, facilitated by experts from the AWWA Water Loss Control Committee, will help utilities establish accountability by giving attendees instruction on the AWWA Standard Water Audit compilation and data validation process.

Attendees will learn the methods and technologies to economically control water and revenue losses by managing leakage and pressure to save water and optimizing revenue via revenue protection programs. Be sure to bring a laptop or personal device to the seminar! Attendees who have completed a water audit for their utility using the AWWA Free Water Audit Software are encouraged to bring an electronic copy of the audit.
