Human Trafficking: Front-Line Worker Awareness Webinar IEPA#12963

CEU TYPE: Technical
IEPA#: 12963
IDEM#Applied for

Summary:  Human trafficking is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, and it’s happening closer than you think. Like even right in your community.

The goal of this series is to educate front-line workers, who are actually in people's homes and neighborhoods, and for them to take notice if something looks awry. During this webinar, participants will learn what human trafficking is, how to identify it in businesses and homes, and practical steps to take if they believe someone is in danger. Take a few minutes to view this eye-catching video as a primer.

Presenter: Jennifer K. Cacciapaglia, J.D., Manager, City of Rockford Mayor’s Office of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Prevention
