Solutions for Raw Water and District Metering Applications and How Hydroverse Can Help:

A Water Distribution Committee Sponsored Power Hour Webinar

CEU TYPE: Technical
IEPA#: 13674
IDEM#Applied for

Summary: Raw Water presents special problems to water utilities. It can wear down mechanical metrology, causing Non-Revenue Water (NRW) apparent losses that impact utility revenue and force costly meter repairs. District Metering provides opportunities to combat Non Revenue Water (NRW) and help utilities maximize revenue and minimize wasted water production. Solid State metering provides solutions to handling raw water and enables district metering. This presentation provides an introduction to the new Sensus Hydroverse electromagnetic water meter and explores ways it can help in raw water and district metering applications. Topics discussed will include an overview of electromagnetic metering technology, specifications of the new Hydroverse meter, performance benefits, and examples of how it can help in raw water and district metering applications.

Jeff Zillmer is Product Manager of Commercial and Industrial Water Metrology at Sensus, a Xylem Brand. Jeff has over 18 years of product management and engineering experience in the water and lighting industries and six years as a United States Naval Officer. He is an active member of AWWA and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Jeff currently resides in Cary, NC.
