TOPIC:   This seminar will discuss types of Algae, Algal toxins and treatment recommendations. Will provide an overview of where Organics come from including ground water, lakes and reservoirs We will discuss how biofilms form in the distribution system with solutions for their removal. We will explain what combination of factors impact DBP’s the most and which ones can be impacted most simply. We will discuss areas in the water system that experience the most trouble with Organics including wells, aerators, filters, settling basins, towers and within the distribution system. Finally case studies will be presented for these situations.

CHECK-IN & HOURS: Check-in begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 12:00pm. Earn up to 4 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers or Renewal Training Credit (RTC) hours for water operators. Continental breakfast will be included.
