  • Summary:
  • Attendees will be shown an operational approach to performing Jar Tests in a conventional WTP. The examples that will be used illustrate how to create a usable procedure that is site-specific to the WTP. This method teaches the operator how to use their own WTP design criteria to make a more meaningful test.

Webinar participants will learn how to use detention times, mixing energies, and Surface Overflow Rates as well as how to make stock solutions of coagulant and chorine and other treatment chemicals.

Jar Test theory will be shown, and some time-tested shortcuts will be made available that make the testing more operator friendly. Finally, a discussion concerning the determination of the Enhanced Coagulation End-Point as required by the D/DPR will be given
