Summary:  In this session, we will cover the cybersecurity risks associated with water and wastewater treatment plants and systems and some of the best practices adopted globally. You will learn how to address the security at a plant level and how to build cybersecurity into the supply chain of the plant. We will discuss how to define, assess, evaluate and prioritize risks in building a cybersecurity plan to meet a plant’s needs. Using this cybersecurity plan, we will cover how to build a supplier security program, the benefits of the program and some of the fundamental criteria required for a plant to be able to secure their supply chain.



Amanda Fisher:
Amanda is a Business Development Manager for UL’s Water Systems Program with over 15 years’ experience in the product certification industry. Amanda’s focus is on testing, inspection, and certification services for water-related products used in municipal infrastructure and the built environment.

Amanda works with manufacturers, regulators, municipalities, inspectors, trade associations, and other interested parties to identify industry needs, set strategic objectives for UL, and evaluate business opportunities. Prior to her UL position in Business Development, Amanda worked as a Product Certification Manager with the Water Quality Association, managing a team of technical leads, project managers, and inspectors to facilitate certification projects for drinking water products.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Gonda Lamberink:
Gonda is an experienced business development manager in UL’s Identity Management & Security division. Gonda focuses on cybersecurity for IoT market segments globally including smart home, smart building and Industry 4.0.

Gonda is driving thought-leadership, identifying business opportunities and building capabilities within UL to provide IoT manufacturers and service providers with cybersecurity advisory, testing and compliance solutions. IoT applications of focus include smart home appliances, building security, building automation, energy management, lighting and industrial control systems.

Prior to developing a focus on IoT cybersecurity, with UL also, Gonda worked on digital payment security for e- and m-commerce. Before joining UL, Gonda worked as a strategy consultant with PwC Transaction Services in Amsterdam and as an economist with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
