SUMMARY: When running a large city-wide water testing program a significant hurdle is data and asset management. This includes collecting and handling a substantial amount of data, running diverse data constraints, and responding to information requests. Dashboard enabled digital solutions manage large data sets from different sources by linking multiple data sources together and displaying in a user-friendly dashboard, It also improves workflows, enhances collaboration and productivity, and promotes collaboration between teams for business solutions. Visualizations report water quality analyses and statistics as well as identifies data gaps, errors, and inconsistencies. Real-time mobile solutions of the dashboard provide instantaneous access to information, records, and real-time field updates. To address the privacy concerns and sensitivity of water quality and consumer data while still providing ample cybersecurity, all operation data sources are housed in private network on-premise protected by state-of-art firewall whereas the business intelligence application layer is located in a separate DMZ perimeter network. This multi-tier enterprise architecture ensures data security, performance scalability and accessibility, allowing senior management and stakeholders to make precise high-quality decisions rapidly with real-time field data in our ever-changing, fast-pace world.
