Section 1: Introduction and overview of AWWA G-300 Source Water Protection (SWP) Standard
Section 2: Using the Guidebook Worksheets

Recognizing that source water protection (SWP) is a vital component of the multiple-barrier approach for providing highquality drinking water, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Water Works Association (AWWA) Utility Management Standard G-300 for Source Water Protection was published in 2007. An accompanying operational guidebook was published in 2010. This standard provides a framework through which utilities can be assessed in terms of the completeness and effectiveness of their source water protection programs. Webinar participants will be able to list and describe the six essential elements that constitute an excellent Source Water Protection Program. By exploring the questions and information required to complete the worksheets for each of the six elements, participants will gain understanding of the components of each element that are applicable to their particular source water situation.
