SUMMARY:  This session will outline the evolution of the treatment processes in our Champaign plants.  Specific topics will include a comparisons of the three plants and their differences; different types of sodium hypochlorite disinfectants used (gas, liquid, and on-site); hydroneumatic tank installation, building a new plant, and overcoming raw ammonia issues in the plant and distribution system..

Dave, Farrar, Illinois American Water
David is Production Superintendent with Illinois American Water in their Champaign District.  He holds a Class A Water Operator License and a Class 3 Wastewater Operator License.



Elizabeth Doellman, Illinois American Water

Elizabeth Doellman is the Water Quality Supervisor for the Champaign District of Illinois American Water Company. She has been with Illinois American Water Company for just over 6 years and has a Class A drinking water operator’s license. She started as a laboratory technician in 2006 and was promoted to Water Quality Supervisor in 2009. She has also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Manchester College in Indiana.





REGISTRATION & HOURS: Registration begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 1:00pm. Earn up to 5 PDH’s or RTC hours.
