On-Site Oxidant Generation and Tank Mixing

TOPIC: On-Site Oxidant Generation: A thorough overview of On-site Oxidant Generation technology will be presented including mixed oxidants and sodium hypochlorite. Both design and operational considerations of these systems will be discussed. Applications for the treatment process and for the distribution system will be presented, including case studies from various locations.

Tank Mixing: A thorough overview of Tank Mixing technologies will be presented, including the reasons why tanks may need to be mixed and the equipment involved in doing so. Both design and operational considerations will be discussed. Applications for distribution system tanks will be presented, including case studies from various locations. THM removal applications will also be included.

Michael Christensen, Medora Corporation
Michael Christensen is the East US Manager for Medora Corporation, a position he has held since the year 2001. Michael joined the SolarBee team with an Ag-Business degree and after 22 years in agriculture-related businesses. Michael has focused on the development of new applied science technology for water treatment. He is one of a team of technical advisors for Medora Corporation that develops and markets the SolarBee/GridBee high-flow long-distance circulation equipment for freshwater, potable water and wastewater applications. As SolarBee US East Manager, Michael has been responsible for projects that include municipal water supply reservoirs and recreational lakes, potable water reservoirs, storm water ponds, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems. He has presented seminars and technical training to numerous state agencies and water related associations.

John Deogracias, Parkson Corporation
John is based in Phoenix, AZ and is currently the Commercial Leader for Parkson Corporation’s Disinfection Center of Excellence.  He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration.  With over 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, John’s career includes being a consulting engineer, design/build/operate Senior Project Manager for Veolia Water, and regional sales manager for Siemens Water Technologies and MIOX.

Registration begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 12:00pm. Earn up to 4 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers or Renewal Training Credit (RTC) hours for water operators. Continental breakfast will be included.
