2:00 - Transitioning from Consulting to a Public Utility - Kristin Rehg
2:10 - Planning the upcoming Young Professionals Events

Transitioning from consulting to working for a public utility: the important things she has learned in these two sectors of the water industry.

Kristin Rehg has worked in the water industry for over 10 years. She spent the first 9 years in consulting designing water and wastewater treatment plants, preparing facility planning studies, and conducting water/sewer rate studies for communities throughout the Chicagoland area. She took a position with the City of Evanston Utilities Department in 2012, and now does in-house engineering, planning, and analysis for the City's water and sewer systems. Ongoing projects include a multi-year effort to rehabilitate the City's 100-year-old large diameter sewer network, feasibility studies for expansion of the wholesale water customer base, and cost of service analysis for the City's retail rate payers.
