Turbidimeter Operation & Calibration

Steve Purucker, The Panner Company
The EPA recommends that on-line turbidity measurement systems be calibrated at least once every 3 months if they are used for EPA reporting.  Turbidimeter set-up, operation, calibration and cleaning procedures will be demonstrated during this HANDS-ON training session.

Hands-On with ArcGIS Online
Jonathan Hodel, Cloudpoint Geographics
Learn the in's and out's of what a quality GIS system can do for your organization.  This is an opportunity to explore the more technical side of using GIS for water & wastewater.  Many of us know the basics and that this technology is helpful, but what about taking it a step farther and exploring the "brains" behind it and what actually makes it work.  Attendees will learn about general GIS concepts such as "Topology" and "Geometric Networking" and see just how these ideas are used to maximize the use of their GIS systems.  No need to be an expert in every field.  This is for everyone.

Prestressed Concrete Tanks
Jerry Myers, DN Tanks
Presentation will discuss
the design and construction elements of wire-wound prestressed concrete tanks.

Diving in Potable Water and Wastewater
Justin Scherf, Pro-Dive, Inc.
This presentation will provide an overview of the regulations, equipment and training required to safely deploy a commercial diver in both potable and contaminated water.
