Energy Savings through Valve Selection

CEU TYPE: Technical
IEPA#:  10800
IDEM#: PWST16-5905

This seminar will discuss and demonstrate various valve types (quarter-turn, check, air), their characteristics (installation, operation, maintenance and energy costs), their flow coefficients (port size, Cv, Kv) and how these factors impact energy costs. Live hands-on test loop demonstrations of the various types of valves will occur onsite and actual real-time data feedback specific to the various types of valves tested will be presented. An essential element in designing a system is selecting the proper valve which can have a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the system. Selecting the proper valve will reduce energy costs while adding to the performance of your system.
