Volunteers at WATERCON are what make it the best conference in the Midwest. Volunteers help to maintain the cost for attendees and exhibitors. When you volunteer, you meet people that you would not have otherwise met. If you are already attending WATERCON, please consider taking a portion of your day or evening to volunteer. You'll be glad you did!

Its easy to volunteer. Just fill out the form below, and we will contact you and get you in touch with the person in charge of the event in which you'd like to help.

Thank you and enjoy WATERCON.

Session Floor Monitors - Volunteers are needed to rotate between technical session rooms to alert the audio visual professional staff of any problems that arise.

Silent Auction - Volunteers are needed to help check in the exhibitors to sign up their items on Monday. On Wednesday morning we need help early in the morning to move the items to the center of the exhibit hall and also to help with check out process at the conclusion of the auction later Wednesday morning.

Tapping Contest
- Volunteers needed to help setup on Wednesday afternoon, during the tapping contest to help clean up water, and Thursday morning to help clear out the supplies in the tapping area. We need approximately 6-10 people for this effort.

Meter Madness -  Volunteer judges are needed for Wednesday night as well as help in setting up Wednesday afternoon and tearing down Wednesday night at the conclusion.

Greeters - Volunteers are needed to help direct conference attendees at registration area and during large banquet events.

Texas Holdem -  Volunteers are needed on Tuesday night for the Annual Texas Holdem.  Set up is at 6pm and the event kicks off at 9pm. We are usually in need of a few good dealers.  Dealer training is provided.  If you are a night owl we can really use your help to clean up at somewhere around 1am.

Conference Registration - Volunteers greet the attendees and hand out name badges and help on site registrants fill out the forms.

Raffle Ticket Sellers - The Water For People Committee sells raffle tickets during the Monday,  Tuesday and Wednesday evening events.    What a great way to meet a lot of people and mix and mingle!

Museum - Volunteers are needed to work in the Water Museum to insure the safety of the museum items.

Student Outreach -  Mentors are needed to help students and new comers find their way around and meet the people that they would like to get to know.   You will develop a life long friend if you mentor a new student at WATERCON.

Career Fair -  Help is needed during set up and directing the students to the Career Fair rooms.   The Career Fair is Wednesday morning.

Career Fair Mock Interviewers - We are looking for some managers to conduct mock interviews with the student and YP attendees to practice their interview skills.  The mock interviews will be at the same time as the Career Fair on Wednesday morning.

Poster Session Judges -  Judges are needed for the poster session.    Judging takes place Tuesday morning.

Water Taste Test Judges -  Are you a "water taste officio"?    Offer to judge the water taste test.  Only requirement is that you cannot be a participant in the contest and a judge the same year.
