John Donahue, Chief Executive Officer for the North Park Public Water District has been named to the Governor-elect JB Pritzker’s Restoring Illinois’ Infrastructure Committee.
Mr. Donahue is former President of the American Water Works Association. He has been active in promoting the need for water infrastructure renewal and advocating for sound science in the development of drinking water regulations for many years. He is honored to participate in this potentially transformational process.
The committee is one of ten such working groups identified by the Governor-elect that will provide guidance to the Pritzker-Stratton administration. The committee is co-chaired by Senator Martin Sandoval (11th Senate District), Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (17th District), Congressman Dan Lipinski (3rd District), Congressman-elect Jesȕs Garcia (4th District), and State Rep. Jay Hoffman (113th District).
Governor-elect Pritzker was quoted as saying “My administration will prioritize a comprehensive 21st Century Capital Bill to build the infrastructure we need to restore Illinois’s place as an economic leader.” Donahue plans to use his experience in the water industry to insure water issues and infrastructure issues in general for Winnebago County are considered in the Bill.

Congratulations John!
