ISAWWA RECRUITING TRAINERS FOR CERTIFIED OPERATOR CLASSES

As the water industry continues evolving with the exodus of long-time utility operators and the influx of new operators in-training, the demand for classroom teaching of distribution system maintenance and water treatment is gathering additional momentum. ISAWWA offers 30-hour operator training courses and 12–hour operator training classes related to IEPA Class C&D and IEPA Class A&B certifications.  As such, ISAWWA is looking to expand our offerings throughout different regions of the state.  While we have some excellent trainers in the immediate areas in the western Chicago area suburbs, other areas in demand for operator training classes is in the northern Chicago suburbs; in downtown Chicago; in Northwest Illinois and Central and Southern IL.   While ISAWWA offers approximately one-hundred (100) 4-hour seminars with many outstanding volunteer instructors, ISAWWA and our Board of Directors, feel strongly that a stipend be paid for our multi-hour Operator Training Classes.  All Operator Training classes are taught with ISAWWA provided proprietary materials.  Classroom books are purchased by the students.

If teaching is something you feel comfortable with and you feel you meet the qualifications, (see below) please contact ISAWWA Education Manager, John Dillon at jdillon@isawwa.org with questions you may have related to these teaching opportunities and to schedule an interview.
