AMTA, the American Membrane Technology Association, is hosting a Technology Transfer Workshop - "Membrane Solving Water Problems" - with technical sessions held on October 2 and 3, 2019 at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown Hotel. It's a great way to expand your knowledge of membranes, learn from the experience of others, meet some colleagues (or renew acquaintances), and get some CEU's. Highlights of the workshop include:

  • Tour of South Milwaukee's membrane-based water treatment plant.
  • Cost saving and lessons-learned ideas on operations from experienced owners/utilities including Mike Kosterman (14 years' experience in Racine, WI) and Randal Braker (15 years' experience in Tennessee).
  • A special early-bird Back-to-Basics section conducted by AMTA's Executive Director, Harold Fravel.
  • A panel discussion with cost saving procurement ideas for MF/UF membrane replacement.
  • Regulatory Perspectives on Membrane-based Water Treatment from Wisconsin's DNR.
  • How & when to clean with separate sessions for RO/NF as well as for MF/UF.
  • Designing for low O&M costs.
  • Latest updates on the long history of membrane-based water reclamation and reuse in California.
  • And much more!
