OBJECTIVE: This is the only pump course designed specifically for water and wastewater applications. Pumps & Pumping is the definitive learning experience on every aspect of pump operation, efficiency, and maintenance. Whether you are new to the water and wastewater industry, or a veteran of on-line service, this course will provide valuable knowledge.
SCOPE: This course will detail pump component relationships and maintenance procedures and concepts and principles of pump theory and maintenance. In-plant demonstrations will enhance understanding. The learning experience is enhanced through interaction with operators and maintenance personnel attendees of the Pumps and Pumping workshop.

INSTRUCTOR: Robert Madura, CLCJAWA
Robert has worked in the water industry since 1983 for several water utilities in maintenance and operations. Currently employed as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency since 1991. Co-instructor for the Advanced Water Works Operations course at the College of Lake County and has presented several times at the ISAWWA Annual Conference on pump maintenance topics. Holds a Illinois Class A Public Water Supply Water Operators Certificate. Has an A.A.S in Mechanical Maintenance from the College of Lake County and a Class I Maintenance Technologist Certification from NCAWWA. Member of the ISAWWA Education Committee.
REGISTRATION & HOURS: Registration begins at 7:30am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 3:30pm. Earn up to 24 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers or Renewal Training Credit (RTC) hours for water operators. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. TEXTBOOK INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION FEE.
