11/4 - ISAWWA Leadership Series: Navigating Difficult Conversations As our global workforce shifts and changes begin at the local level, we need to prepare our future leaders. From cultivating their leadership presence to focusing in on conflict resolution and managing a dynamic workforce, the Illinois Section American Water Works Association is offering their members this virtual leadership series to develop key essential skills. All sessions are 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Description: Delivering difficult news, sharing constructive feedback, or responding to a frustrated colleague or client can be a source of stress in your workday. Communicating confidently requires preparation and skill, both of which come with practice. In this workshop, you’ll confront the source of your uncomfortable feelings, overcome your bad habits, and learn strategies on how to: ● Better understand your audience. ● Center empathy and listening to enhance your efficacy. ● Deliver information clearly and concisely.
Rebecca Malotke-Meslin Bio: Rebecca Malotke-Meslin is the founder of Pleasantly Aggressive Coaching & Consulting. Through one-on-one coaching, leadership cohorts, and speaking engagements, she helps early and mid-career women leaders working in schools and non-profits gain valuable leadership skills, rediscover their authentic voice, and build the confidence they need to achieve their goals. In her role as a speaker and consultant, she works with organizations to provide inclusive leadership training to reduce biases and eliminate barriers for all employees. Rebecca combines her background in social research with 20 years of sales, marketing, communications, and school leadership to create an in-depth and engaging experience for her clients. Rebecca also co-hosts the Confidently You: Women in Leadership Podcast.
