UNDERGROUND UTILITY LINE LOCATING
CEU TYPE: Dual Credit Technical (DCT) Water Training Classification: Water Distribution Wastewater Training Classification: Collection Systems IEPA#: 19300
TOPIC: This seminar will review types of locators and how locators work. Also will cover why locators sometimes do not work properly. Will cover how to operate locators and how to confirm the accuracy of the locates. Different types of locates may require different types of locators with a multitude of different accessories. Field work with include site review, proper hook-ups of locators and what to avoid. Setting up the transmitter and identifying locating frequencies and locating with a receiver. Attendees will also learn about the quality of locates and the accuracy of the field locate. As time allows, will also cover marking faults and using a sonde to help locate. PRESENTERS: Gordon Eden, Eden Bros. CHECK-IN & HOURS: Check-in begins at 7:40am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 2:30pm. Earn up to 6 Dual Credit Technical hours for water and wastewater operators or 6 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers. Lunch will be included.
