WATER LEAK DETECTION
CEU TYPE: Drinking Water Technical (DWT) Water Training Classification: Distribution System IEPA#: 19289
TOPIC: This seminar will provide attendees with a basic background to leak detection and leak detection methods. Acoustic concepts will be covered along with basic leak detection methods and using a correlator to identify leaks. Equipment use will be covered and the leak detection process will be reviewed. Field work will include site review and pre-survey work. Identifying sensor points and sensor deployment. Correlating leaks and confirming leaks. Surface sounding and leak pinpointing will be covered along with properly marking leaks. PRESENTERS: Gordon Eden, Eden Bros.
CHECK-IN & HOURS: Check-in begins at 7:40am. The training will start at 8:00am and will conclude by 2:30pm. Earn up to 6 Drinking Water Technical hours for water operators or 6 Professional Development Hours (PDH's) for engineers. Lunch is included.
