Water Distribution System Operation & Maintenance for Class C/D
10-week Night Class, TUESDAY Nights Only, September8th - November 10th
CEU TYPE: Drinking Water Technical (DWT) Water Training Classification: Distribution Systems TOPIC: This course is designed to train operators in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining water distribution systems, emphasizing safe practices and procedures. Topics include the role and duties of water distribution system operators, procedures for operating and maintaining clear wells and storage tanks, components and characteristics of distribution system facilities, operating and maintaining distribution systems, maintaining water quality in the system, disinfecting new and repaired facilities as well as water delivered to consumers, and techniques for recognizing hazards and developing safe procedures and programs. Operators learn to analyze and solve problems when they occur and perform mathematical calculations commonly associated with operating a distribution system.

CHECK-IN & HOURS:
Check-in begins at 4:30pm. The training will start at 5:00pm and will conclude by 8:00pm each week. Earn up to 30 technical hours for water operators or 30 PDH’s for engineers. Please bring your own snacks and beverages. Books will be provided on the first day of class.
