AWWA has provided information on project opportunities. Please see the three opportunities summarized below:
  Cook County, IL – Stormwater
This project is a local church that experiences severe flooding and sewer backup during storm events. The project is still in need of a full team, preferably with a mix of both stormwater and wastewater backgrounds. The team will prepare preliminary engineering reports, and investigate alternatives including, but not limited to, backflow prevention and internal plumbing updates. Woodford County, IL – Drinking Water This community has an outdated treatment and distribution system that they are looking to upgrade. This project is being adopted by a student chapter. The students need 2 local professionals to fill out the remainder of the required team roles. The scope of work includes the development of a Preliminary Engineering Report assessing the community’s existing drinking water infrastructure, presenting feasible alternatives via an alternatives analysis, and associated cost estimates. This report will then be used to pursue funding sources for the project’s implementation.

 Gallatin County, IL – Stormwater
This community experiences flooding due to aging stormwater infrastructure and unregulated drainage modification. The project is still in need of a full team, preferably with stormwater backgrounds. The scope of work includes a preliminary engineering report, complete with a drainage plan, designs, alternatives analyses, and cost estimates. For more information - Contact CECinfo@ewb-usa.org
