AWWA: EPA released an update to the State Revolving Loan Fund (SRF) Portal in hopes of better communicating the impact of federal water infrastructure funding to Congress and the public. With this month’s release, anyone can search what was previously an internal EPA database used to track state SRF programs.
The important new additions include geographic information system (GIS) mapping of SRF project locations and project-level data describing which communities receive funding, how much and project status. The detailed project data is limited to calendar years 2021, 2022, and 2023, though mapping includes older projects.
The portal also includes national data about both the Drinking Water and Clean Water SRFs. Dashboards provide a historic perspective on the types of SRF projects funded and the amount reaching disadvantaged communities dating back to 2000.
