ISAWWA has received some questions regarding Schools and Childcare facilities for lead notifications. Provided are some helpful resources:

How to access the DCFS Childcare Provider list:

https://sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov/Content/Licensing/Daycare/ProviderLookup.aspx

-Click the “Export” tab in the right corner of Day Care Providers

-This will open an excel sheet of ALL providers licensed with the State of Illinois

or

-You can also use the “Search Criteria” option to limit the search by city, county, or zip

-Once you enter your search criteria, click on the export tab for your specific data

How to access the Illinois State Board of Education school list:

https://www.isbe.net/Pages/Data-Analysis-Directories.aspx

-Click on “Directory of Educational Entities”

-Click on “Directory of Educational Entities – Current”

-This will open excel sheets with ALL the schools in Illinois

-There are multiple tabs at the bottom of the page for types of schools

                +public

                +special education

                +regional offices and programs and intermediate service centers

                +career centers and education for employment centers

                +non-public schools

                +non-public special education programs
