Get a Career in WATER! Become Part of the OPERATOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM!
The Illinois Section AWWA, along with the Evanston Township High School, the City of Evanston and Darrell A King are partnering to offer an opportunity to high school students for a career in the water industry.
The recommended course that qualifies for the scholarship program offered by the Illinois Section AWWA and fill the requirement for basic knowledge is:
#3003 Water Distribution Systems Online Course
Student Related Fees
Membership to Illinois Section American Water Works Association (ISAWWA)
No cost to the student: membership fee will be paid by the sponsor/mentor/association
Online course
This course will assist the student in preparing for the IEPA Class D Operator exam. Successful completion of the #3003 Course will earn the student 64 hours towards the 890 total hours experience requirement for Class D classification.
