Who We AreThe Professional Advancement Committee is a group of ISAWWA members committed to helping water professionals grow at every stage of their careers. Committee members include utility professionals, engineers, operators, managers, educators, and industry partners who are passionate about mentoring, training, and creating meaningful advancement opportunities for members across Illinois. WHAT WE DOThis committee develops and supports professional development programs that help members enhance their leadership and other valuable skills. Our work includes scholarships that support education and career growth, leadership training and resources that build confidence and capability, and skill-based trainings that strengthen practical workplace expertise. We create and promote opportunities such as workshops, webinars, and conference sessions focused on career advancement, along with mentorship tools and member support resources.
