Professional Communities Committee

Who We Are

Professional Communities are member-led groups formed around shared interests, experiences, or professional journeys. Each community is made up of ISAWWA members who want to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and build a stronger sense of belonging within the water industry.

Professional communities can be established for any group that aligns with ISAWWA’s mission and operates in accordance with ISAWWA policies.

Our current list of communities are Veterans, Women in Water, and Young Professionals.

WHAT WE DO

Professional Communities create opportunities for members to connect, learn, and support one another.  Communities offer members the opportunity for resource sharing, community-building, support, peer mentoring and networking events.

WHy we do it

A strong industry depends on strong relationships and inclusive professional support. Professional Communities help members connect beyond job titles and organizations—creating pathways for mentorship, collaboration, and long-term engagement in ISAWWA and the water profession.

What's in it for You?

By participating in the Professional Community Committee, you can:

  • Strengthen the profession by helping build a more connected water community

  • Build new communities to support our members.

  • Create a pathway for engagement for all members.
