Who We Are

We are a collaborative group of water professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge and best practices for wastewater, stormwater, and reuse. Committee members include operators, engineers, utility leaders, consultants, educators, and industry partners who work together to support effective, sustainable water recovery systems across Illinois.

WHAT WE DO

This committee develops and supports technical education programming related to wastewater systems and sustainability efforts. Key topics include sewer collection, wastewater treatment, collection systems, stormwater, and water reuse. The Water Recovery and Resilience Systems Committee creates and promotes educational opportunities in the form of webinars, website content and in-person training.

Wastewater and stormwater systems are essential infrastructure that protect communities, waterways, and public health. As the industry faces evolving regulations, climate impacts, aging systems, and rising sustainability demands, it’s more important than ever to share knowledge, build capacity, and support resilient solutions that meet today’s challenges—and tomorrow’s.
