| Young Professionals Committee |
Who We AreThe Young Professionals (YP) Committee strives to attract water professionals 35 years and younger or with less than 10 years of experience to ISAWWA and provides them opportunities to develop networking, leadership, and other career-building skills. We serve as a platform for YPs to collaborate with peers and kickstart their careers by providing opportunities to get involved and receive experience in leadership and management positions.
WHAT WE DODuring our monthly meetings, we discuss new topics and opportunities, share experiences, and learn about upcoming events. We also plan events for YPs to meet, build relationships, and develop professionally as well as volunteer opportunities for members to get involved and contribute to community learning. WHy we do itSeeing as water is a constant necessity, the total water industry needs to engage young leaders to secure its future. By encouraging involvement within the Section, we actively ensure that the future of water will be in capable hands. Additionally, YPs bring a fresh perspective to ISAWWA - whether it be through engaging with other YPs, sharing ideas with ISAWWA leaders, or collaborating with other committees, it all helps to further engagement and interest in the total water industry. What's in it for You?When you join the YP Committee, you become a part of a network of other YPs and established professionals you can relate to and rely on. Get your questions on the water industry answered, share your experiences with peers, develop your professional skillset, and watch yourself go from student to teacher.
