Wastewater Treatment - Disinfection  is designed so using the Internet students will explore the rudiments of wastewater treatment. The topics of this course include general issues operators face when disinfecting wastewater. Along with reading assignments from the text, the course is enhanced with audio, up-to-date photographs, interactive exercises, and online links.

 

This training course is a subset of Water Treatment I and meant as a refresher to certified water operators.  The textbook is optional; they may be questions and content that is referenced from the book.   

Optional Textbook for this class:  Operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants, Volume I, 7th Ed
Upon completion of this Illinois Section AWWA course, IEPA will award operators 10 hours towards the requirement below:
