Mission Monday is the Illinois Section’s new webinar series designed with our mission in mind: providing resources for the advocacy of safe and sustainable water through enriching membership, mentoring, and increasing public awareness. SUMMARY: Source Water Protection (SWP) often is a multi-stakeholder driven process to implement activities in order to prevent contamination and overuse of drinking water supplies. Communities across Illinois are fulfilling requirements from Illinois EPA to develop Source Water Protection Plans and working across sectors to carry out actions to better protect water sources now and into the future. Please join us for a panel discussion featuring examples from City of Springfield: City Water, Light and Power and the North Park Public Water District showcasing source water protection in action.
