Welcome to Mission Monday! Mission Monday is the Illinois Section’s new webinar series designed with our mission in mind:  providing resources for the advocacy of safe and sustainable water through enriching membership, mentoring, and increasing public awareness. The education that you receive from this series is focused on the topics that you need to continue to supply safe and sustainable water to all of Illinois.  Once a month we’re bringing education to you on the topics you need the most. SUMMARY: Currently, an estimated 2 million Americans live without access to running water and basic plumbing, and Black, Latinx, and Native American households are disproportionately impacted by this lack of adequate infrastructure.The Community Engineering Corps Program supports these efforts by providing pro-bono consulting services to help communities gain access to federal funding to improve critical infrastructure. This session features an in-depth, informational presentation about the program followed by a case study highlighting the work done through Community Engineering Corps in an effort to move the needle on infrastructure equity in the United States.
