TOPIC: This course will provide a basic overview of microprocessor-based specific use operator interfaces as well as computer-based operator interfaces.  We will discuss the pros and cons of each type of interface relating to environmental conditions, processing ability, graphics quality, data logging, physical size, etc., and use this information to determine the best type to use in specific situations.  We will also discuss development of a graphics standard and the some graphics development best practices.  Development of selection criteria for computer-based graphics software will also be discussed.
