TOPIC: This course will cover the basics of sanitary lift station and water booster pump station design and operation. The course will include a discussion on the types of stations that are commonly used in the industry and under what scenario different stations are commonly used. Design basics for lift stations will be presented and reviewed along with operational considerations. Example plans and specifications will be presented and reviewed. IEPA permitting requirements will be discussed. Inspection of new and existing stations will be reviewed, checklists presented, and rehabilitation methods discussed.
