SUMMARY: The Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) compliance date was October 16, 2024. The rule sets forth a number of new requirements for community water systems. The USEPA has also promulgated the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) which are anticipated to go into effect in 2027. This presentation will highlight the requirements of the LCRR that impact communities now and also touch on upcoming requirements under the LCRI.
Adam Nutt with the IEPA will be available as part of this session to answer questions about LCRR requirements.
