CEU TYPE: Wastewater Technical
Water Training Classification: Sewer
IEPA#: 21613
TOPIC: A hydraulic model can be a useful tool to help make data driven decisions in your collection system and at your facilities, including your wastewater treatment plant. However, understanding how hydraulic models are developed, how they can be utilized successfully, and what information they can provide can often be difficult to interpret. This presentation will provide a high-level overview of how hydraulic models are developed and how they can be implemented to make data driven decisions to support your collection system and facilities. This presentation will also utilize regional case studies to highlight how communities have successfully utilized hydraulic models to better understand collection system capacity and make decisions regarding wastewater treatment plant upgrades.
