SUMMARY: The term source water augmentation has been used to describe both alternative drinking water supplies and environmental restoration of low-flow streams. Source water augmentation projects in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the City of Franklin, Tennessee, will be compared to explore the topic what can and can not be called source water augmentation. Interactive polling will survey audience opinion to help define the term, public perception, and the benefits and drawbacks of this new term for an old topic.
